Ultimate Blog Party!

Well, today's post would normally be my "Follow Friday" feature (where I feature a fellow twin blogger)... however, today is the start of the Ultimate Blog Party! So, this is actually my official party post! :-)

For those of you just finding me, hi! My name is Jennifer and I'm a Mom to identical twin girls who are about to turn 5 years old! It's been an amazing journey... one that started out a bit on the scary side: My girls are TTTS (Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome) survivors and, it really is nothing short of a miracle that they are both are not only with us, but healthy and thriving today!

It very easily could have been much different, though, especially since the TTTS in my pregnancy went undiagnosed. That's why I support the cause of TTTS awareness. One of the ways I do this is by donating $1 to the Fetal Hope Foundation (an organization working to raise awareness of TTTS and other fetal syndromes) for every copy of my book "Two Snowflakes" sold.

Which brings me to the prize that I have donated to the UBP Prize Pool: A copy of my book
"Two Snowflakes!" :-D

"Two Snowflakes" is the story of Phina & Bella, twin snowflakes who are tired of being mistaken for one another. However, a chance encounter shows them just how special and unique they really are.

You can actually watch/listen to a free reading of the book at twosnowflakes.net

Back to my site here at TwinHappy, though, one of the biggest features here is "TwinTuesday!"

TwinTuesday is a weekly event, I started about a year or so ago on Twitter (using the hashtag #TwinTuesday)... and, it's one that has grown quite a bit! :-D I usually do a giveaway of some sort here on my blog each week... and maybe even more popular is the "QOTW" where I ask some sort of twin-related question to all my fellow, participating Twin Moms, Dads, Grandparents, etc :-D

While TwinTuesday is an event here on my blog, as well as the TwinHappy Facebook Page, it's still biggest where it started: on Twitter! :-) So, if you'd like, you can check out my now humongous (and ever-growing) "Twin Tweeters" list... and, join all of us each week by simply following, and tagging your tweets with, #TwinTuesday! :-)

If you've made it this far, thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Please do leave a comment, if you have a moment, especially with your blog address so I can visit yours! :-D And, hope you have a great time partying this week!! I'm still so excited to have caught this from the beginning this time (last year I only found the party when it was about to end :-p)...

And, if you came here from somewhere other than the UBP, you really should check it out! With how many people have already signed up for it, I'm betting they break that record of 2,000 bloggers they had last year... got up first thing this morning to make this post, sign up for the linkies and all, and already feel like I'm late to the party :-p Click here to join the Ultimate Blog Party!

P.S. As to the prizes I'd most like to win, I won't be picky :-D Any of the Target, Amazon, Visa (or heck, any kind of) gift cards would be awesome... saw something about chocolate in there which is always a Jen-pleaser :-p If it's some kind of toy for children, though, as long as it's something that can accommodate two... one teddy bear or something like that only causes more grief than happiness :-p (Had a lady at a TotSwap give my girls ONE balloon... I need to include that in my rules for twins: Don't ever give them ONE of anything :-p)

P.P.S. I'm also doing an extra giveaway during the UBP:
Click here to find out how to enter to win a $20 BestBuy Gift Card!

Hi Jen, Happy "Ultimate Blog Party"! :) I think your rule is great. In my case tho, as a Sandwich Generation grandmother of twins AND a whole passel more sweet grandkids, I always have to ask for several balloons, etc. :) :) :) Have a fun day!

Hi! I'm stopping in from the UBP because I'm totally excited to be a future auntie to twins! My younger sister is pregnant with fraternal twins (don't know the genders though) and is due in two months - I can't wait! I'm sure twins is quite the adventure, so maybe I'll have to tell her about your blog!

Hi Jennifer! So happy you came by my blog! I'm excited to meet you and learn more about twins, actually had no idea about TTTS and am relieve that when I first heard about that I also heard of the happy ending for your daughters. I always wanted to have twin identical girls, I think so I would only have to be pregnant once but get twice the amount of little baby feet to tickle. I'll have to live vicariously through you! BTW they are so cute in their little red dresses in your header!

Hi Jennifer! I'm so new to these blog parties that I don't even know which end is up or else I would have stopped by ages ago. I'll be much better next year, I promise : ) . Thanks for getting me involved in this - it's been a lot of fun. BTW, do you know that you are the #1 "influencer" for the keyword "twins" on wefollow? Congrats!!

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by my blog from UBP. I also have TTTS survivors! My boys are 3 years old now. My pregnancy was a nightmare, but luckily we all came out of it unscathed. It's always nice to meet another TTTS mom, especially one with a happy ending. :-)
